NASCAR announced today that Greg Biffle has been fined $5,000 and placed on probation until Dec. 31, for failing to fulfill his post-race media obligations this past Saturday night, following the NASCAR Busch Series race at O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis.

Steve Wallace, 19-year-old son of ESPN announcer and former NASCAR driver Rusty Wallace, suffered minor cuts and bruises in an attempted mugging after the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard.
The younger Wallace was attacked Sunday by at least three people outside a convenience store following the race, according to a statement on Rusty Wallace's Web site Tuesday.
