Kevin Harvick is apparently irritated with Kurt Busch for on-track contact last week in Atlanta. Then again, Harvick has never really gotten along with the former Nextel Cup champion.
Asked Friday if he could correct one misconception about himself, Harvick launched into a tirade about Busch.
"I think I would have whooped Kurt Busch before now," Harvick said. "Obviously, he forgot about getting punched in his nose last time from Jimmy Spencer.

German co-driver Joerg Bastuck died Friday after being hit by a car during the Rally of Catalunya in northeastern Spain, rally organizers said. Bastuck, a 36-year-old competitor in the Junior World Rally Championship, got out of his Citroen C2 GT driven by compatriot Aaron Burkart to change a tire when he was hit by a Ford Fiesta driven by Barry Clark and co-driven by Scott Martin.

Crew chief Chad Knaus returned to the track Friday after a four-week suspension, greeted by a cold rain that washed out all activity at Bristol Motor Speedway.
"I'm ready to get the car out there," he said, sipping coffee. "It's been a long time."
NASCAR suspended Knaus for the season's first four races after finding improper changes to Jimmie Johnson's car during Daytona 500 preparations. He had to watch Johnson win the Super Bowl of racing on TV.
